Getting started

Register the first patient

A walkthrough of patient registration with DPDP consent capture.

Open the patient registration form

Click Patients in the sidebar, then + New patient. The form opens above the list.

Fill in the required fields

  1. Full name — as the patient wants it on records and prescriptions.
  2. Phone — Indian format with country code (e.g. +91 90000 00000).
  3. Gender — Male / Female / Other.
  4. Age — optional but recommended.

Capture DPDP consent

The consent checkbox is required by the DPDP Act 2023. Read the consent text aloud (or hand the patient a printout) before ticking it. If the patient is under 18, the guardian section appears automatically — capture the guardian's name and relation.

Save

UHID is generated automatically (e.g. UHID-2026-00042). The patient now appears in the search and can be booked into an appointment or added to the live queue.
