Feature · Hindi + English
हिन्दी + English. Patient prints in both.
Full UI in Hindi (Devanagari-aware fonts, RTL-correct numerals, untranslated medical terms preserved), patient-facing PDFs printable in the language the patient reads.
The problem we solved
Over 60% of practising doctors in India use Hindi or a regional language as their primary working language — but most EMRs ship in English only. Doctors end up code-switching constantly, which costs time and creates typos in patient names.
We translated the entire clinical UI (queue, encounter, prescription, billing) into Hindi at launch, with Noto Sans Devanagari as the font so script renders crisply. English remains the default; switching is a single click in the top bar.
What's in the box
Full UI in Hindi at launch
Every label, every button, every error message — clinical staff can operate entirely in Hindi. Medical terms (drug names, ICD-10 codes) stay in English because that's the regulatory norm.
Devanagari-aware typography
Noto Sans Devanagari ships alongside Atkinson Hyperlegible (our Latin font). Numerals stay Latin (1, 2, 3) by default — clinical convention. The Devanagari numerals option is in settings.
Patient-facing PDFs in two languages
Prescription + invoice PDFs can be generated in Hindi, English, or both side-by-side. The patient picks; the clinic remembers their preference. WhatsApp share works either way.
Per-staff language preference
Each clinic staff member sets their own UI language. Receptionist on Hindi, doctor on English — both work in the same clinic data with no friction.
On the roadmap
Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi are next — prioritised by the geographic distribution of our first 20 clinics. Translation is human-reviewed by native-speaking clinicians, not machine-translated.
If your clinic is in a regional-language market and you'd like to influence the order, send a note via the contact form.
