MedDeskOS — Doctor-owned clinical OS

Feature · Offline-first

Works without internet. Syncs when you're back online.

Prescription writing, patient registration, and visit recording continue when the connection drops — local IndexedDB cache, conflict-aware sync queue, clear indicator of what's pending.

Coming in v1.1

Offline mode is a deliberate v1.1 deliverable — we want to launch with full ABDM + DPDP correctness first, then add resilience. Expected release: Q3 2026. Sign up below to be notified.

The problem we solved

Tier-2 and Tier-3 city clinics deal with internet that goes out for an hour at lunchtime, sometimes longer when there's a power cut or a fibre cut. An EMR that stops working when the WiFi blinks is unusable — doctors fall back to paper, and the day's records become a reconstruction job at night.

Offline-first means clinical work doesn't pause. Local cache. Sync queue. Clear UI signal of "these 4 prescriptions are pending sync."

What's planned

Local IndexedDB cache

The last 30 days of patient records, your prescription templates, and the drug + ICD-10 catalogues are mirrored to the browser. Searching + writing prescriptions does not need a network round-trip.

Sync queue

Every mutation done offline is appended to a queue. When connectivity returns, the queue drains in order — visible to the user as a small "syncing 4 of 7" indicator.

Conflict resolution

If two staff edit the same patient offline, the second sync surfaces a conflict screen. The clinic admin picks which version wins; both versions are retained in the audit log.

What's pending

A small badge in the top bar shows how many records haven't yet synced. Hover to see the list. Closing the browser is safe — the queue survives in IndexedDB.
